The creative person is both more primitive and more cultivated, more destructive, a lot madder and a lot saner, than the average person ~Frank Barron

I walked away disappointed at most of the works that were shown. Most films were out of this world (literally), in a negative perspective though. Makes me wonder what actually people think about during their lives. How can you call when a scientist dies an unicorn is born intriguing?? However, a construction crane demolishing a house is more visually engaging than expected. Almost looks like an animal eating away because of its starvation. Yet, a baby being pushed back into its mother's wound, to me is not art but rather disturbing in so many levels. The still art was clever, but boring. It was an experience, but I couldn't wait until it ended. Sometimes the truth hurts.
Experimentation is the overall concentration in multi-media. The ability to expand on one's own artistic freedom is key, creating several different narratives to develop an interesting story. In each story are characters that include aspects of yourself, as the arthur of each piece. Mark Amerika demonstrated these concepts in Grammatron and his recent web interaction piece. In this web site, he created some alien language and used these symbols as navigation. It almost seemed like a game, yet it was more than that. A musical piece mixed with various forms of media, which is solemnly controlled by the audience. I was impressed and inspired by just how rapidly the web has grown and the many capabilities that enable an artist to further challenge us.
So I scratched the cute panda idea and began brainstorming. What do I do in my spare time? Oh, thats right. I have spontaneous adventures...everything is spur of the moment. An aspect of my life which I love...I might add. I ended up interviewing my good friend Justin and asked him questions about his day. He's such a character, just watch:
