The creative person is both more primitive and more cultivated, more destructive, a lot madder and a lot saner, than the average person ~Frank Barron

Hypertexual Day 8

Having a relaxing day to ease my mind of my many worries and concerns. Friend called me on the phone complaining about her not so smart friend. "Common Sense ain't Common." -true point

Hypertextual Day 7

Sun is shining bright. A picnic at a park is the perfect idea this afternoon. Spending a day at the park became absolute bliss.

Dream Machine Discussion

A valid point about sequence was discussed in class. Hypertext is the new way of thinking, however it is known as non-sequential writing instead of expressing things in order. I have to agree with Nelson about how our ideas and thoughts are not in order, instead our minds are used to tying together ideas randomly. Since we have already established previously that multi-media is a form of art and art is meant to gather different interests and opinions from the audience. Audience's want to see something that is unique and from another perspective. I believe multi-media works better out of sequence and we as the creators must think outside the "box" in order to progress or even succeed in this field.

Hypertexual Day 6

After my morning class, I had lunch with an old friend since freshman year. Since we avoid drama, our friendship has grown and progressed positively. Be true to yourself and avoid confrontation, so explainned my wisdom friend.

Hypertexual Day 5

This is a typical Monday just like any other. Though in my typography class we had to take a favorite quote and write it in a certain type. "The future has a funny way of arriving unannounced," I find this quote completely true.

America's Grave

Before seeing your art piece, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. Upon at your piece, I was a little blown away and taken back. Thinking that you were anti-bush and had many liberal views was my first impression. However, as you were explaining the piece I was impressed at the creativity and originality of the work. Having heard of Dantes Inferno previously, it was interesting to see how you presented your own version. The number 6 was strongly evident through the television installations and the flags. Your use of symbolism is a great trait. Even though the piece represented elements of death, the audience can still see life developing over again. Seeing the mistakes of the Uinted States and yet whipping them away with brand new life is my favorite meaning of this art. Overall, America's Grave delivers an insightful message of the corruption and re-birth that makes up the USA.

Hypertexual Day 4

Waking up energetic at my friend's house, we decided to do something fun. We jumped on her trampoline. I felt like a little playful kid again.

Hypertexual Day 3

My friends and I took a trip to Ikea to buy a couch. Since the couch was too wide for the car, we tied it to the roof. My friend wasn't too happy when it left a dent.

Hypertexual Day 2

i fell today from walking back from class. I jammed two fingers on my right hand. They are now swollen and turning blue. OuCh!

Hypertextual day 1

Today I tried something new and interesting that my friend from London recommended. I also had coconut coffee with tapioca bubbles at the new coffee shop in the tavern. The bubbles felt squishy and tasteless.

What makes multimedia relevant to contemporary artistic expression?

Recently the media market has grown increasingly popular in forming a unique approach to expressing art. Since this span, works of these artists continue to expand the way art is viewed and depicted. Multimedia in many ways involves art and is a form of art. This can be evident through television, installations, magazines, audio, radio, movies and etc.
